Course Materials Return Policy
The last day to return physical textbooks is Friday January 20, 2023.
Purchases made after Friday January 20, 2023 are Final Sale.
The last day to purchase physical textbooks is Friday, February 24, 2023 before they are returned to the publisher.

If you are returning physical textbooks,
You must have your original receipt
Textbooks must be in mint condition. (No writing, highlighting, scratched covers, or bent corners)
Textbooks that are shrink-wrapped must remain shrink-wrapped, and the plastic wrap unbroken/unopened
If you made an online order for physical textbooks and would like to request a refund, please follow the steps below:
1. Email your return request to eshop@sfu.ca
2. Indicate "Return Request: Order #" in the subject line
3. An associate will verify that your textbook(s) are eligible to be returned.
4. Once they have been deemed eligible, a return shipping label will be sent to your email address
5. Please follow the instructions listed on the return label and send it via your nearest post office
6. Once your package has been received, we will process your refund
Note: Damaged items will not be accepted and returned to customer (additional shipping charges may apply).
The following items are not eligible for a refund.
All digital course materials (eBooks) provided by the Bookstore are FINAL SALE
All course packs (both digital and physical) are FINAL SALE due to copyright laws
iClickers are FINAL SALE.
Prepay items are non-cancellable and non-returnable - FINAL SALE
The SFU Bookstore will accept returns as long as Canada Post or your preferred courier receives the package by the course materials return deadline.

VitalSource eBook Return Policy
In order to obtain a refund for a VitalSource title,
- You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you purchased it
- You have not viewed or printed, in total, more than twenty percent (20%) of the VitalSource eTextbook.
- You have not previously returned the same eTextbook from a prior purchase.
- You are not returning an eBook from one of the publishers in their Return Policy Exceptions.
- You have not returned a total of 3 or more eTextbooks in the past 90 days across all of your VitalSource Accounts

General Retail Products and Merchandise/Non-textbook Return Policy
We are currently offering FREE RETURNS within Canada if you are not satisfied with your purchase,
For online order,
Simply email us with your order number and the reason for your return, and we will email you a return label.
1. Email your return request to retail@sfu.ca
2. Indicate "Return Request: Order #XXXX" in the subject line
3. You will receive a return shipping label
4. Make sure to include the original packing slip inside your return package
5. Follow the instructions listed on the return label and send it via your nearest post office
6. Once your package has been received, we will process your refund
(We will accept returned merchandise as long as Canada Post or your preferred courier receives the package within 10 business days from when the package was delivered.)
For in-store purchase,
1. Please note that calculators, lab supplies (lab coats, and goggles), technology items (incl. MFA Hardware Token) and clearance items are all final sale.
2. For non-clearance merchandise, we will accept return within two weeks of purchase with a valid receipt and the tags on.
3. Clothes must be unworn, with manufacturer labels intact
